Saathoff Garden
An extensive remodeling project in 1999 spurred a landscape renovation of this one acre property in Topeka, Kansas. Nestled by a creek, beneath towering oak trees and blessed with perfect soil, the gardens of Bob and Cheryl Saathoff reflect harmony in nature in a woodland shade garden. Using native stone and wood, the extensive slope of the property was tamed with retaining walls creating an upper and lower garden. Look forward to seeing over 500 hosta cultivars, over 60 Japanese Maples and over 40 varieties of ferns, plus numerous other shade perennials and unusual trees and shrubs along the winding garden pathways.
